Description

The Large Area Telescope (LAT), on board the NASA Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, has various properties that make it a great instrument for time-domain astronomy. These include its large field of view (> 2 steradians), its all-sky-survey mode of taking observations and its large energy range (100 MeV - >1 TeV). In this talk, I will discuss the various tools and platforms that Fermi-LAT Collaboration provides for time domain astrophysics including the Fermi-LAT Lightcurve Repository, the LAT monitored source list, the Flare Advocate and Burst Advocate activities and associated ATels and GCNs as well as the plans for our role in the future of time domain astronomy.
