DESCRIPTION:Cosmological scenarios involving a cosmological phase transiti
 ons have gained popularity over recent years\, in particular because of th
 eir gravitational wave signatures. I will discuss how such phase transitio
 ns affect leptogenesis using sterile right-handed neutrinos. We will consi
 der that the sterile neutrinos obtain a Majorana mass thanks to the cosmol
 ogical phase transition of a BSM scalar field. This leads to interesting n
 onequilibrium dynamics during the transition\, as well as different mechan
 isms of lepton asymmetry production in the cosmological evolution of the p
 articles. Using nonequilibrium QFT\, I will describe the relevant equation
 s\, and show how they can be solved (numerically and analytically) and wha
 t they tell us about the effect of a phase transition on leptogenesis.\n\n
