DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Francesco Di Filippo (Goethe U.)\n\nSingularity theo
rems suggest that spacetime singularities are unavoidable in general relat
ivity when matter satisfies standard energy conditions. Although Hawking r
adiation provides a well-understood mechanism for violating these conditio
ns\, the resulting violation is commonly regarded as too weak to remove si
ngularities\, reinforcing the view that exotic physics or full quantum gra
vity is required. In this talk\,we challenge this view by analyzing a char
ged spherically symmetric black hole formed through gravitational collapse
and evaporating via Hawking radiation. We show that the electromagnetic r
epulsion and the mild violation of energy conditions due to the presence o
f Hawking radiation can be sufficient to avoid the formation of both a sin
 gularity and a Cauchy horizon.\n\nhttps://indico.ijclab.in2p3.fr/event/135
