DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Jonathan Morgner (CERN)\n\nThe pronounced imbalance
between matter and antimatter in the universe motivates high precision com
parisons of fundamental properties of matter–antimatter conjugates. At C
ERN’s Antiproton Decelerator\, the BASE collaboration performs such test
s using cryogenic Penning traps. We have achieved the most precise proton
–antiproton charge to mass ratio comparison to date\, with a fractional
uncertainty of 16 parts per trillion and conducted the first direct high p
recision measurement of the antiproton magnetic moment with 1.5 ppb accura
cy. Combined with our proton magnetic moment measurement\, these results i
mprove magnetic moment-based CPT tests by more than a factor of 3000. In p
arallel\, we are implementing new techniques for sympathetic cooling of an
tiprotons and developing quantum logic-inspired spectroscopy methods. We a
re also constructing the transportable antiproton trap BASE-STEP to move p
recision antiproton measurements from CERN to dedicated laboratory space a
t Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. In this talk\, I will introduce t
he scientific context\, report on the recent success of the first antiprot
on road-transport\, where a cloud of antiprotons was transported over the
CERN campus using this transportable Penning Trap. Furthermore\, I will di
scuss progress towards an improved measurement of the antiproton magnetic
 moment.\n\nhttps://indico.ijclab.in2p3.fr/event/13659/
