  l'été 2026.\n \n"Study of b-> dll  transitions with b-baryon decays a
t LHCb and test bench commissioning for the Upgrade II MightySciFi detecto
r"\n \nAbstract :\nIndirect searches for physics beyond the Standard Mode
l (SM) provide a powerful probe of New Physics (NP) through virtual contri
butions to loop-level processes. The b->sll electroweak penguin transition
s have been studied extensively by LHCb\, which has revealed several tensi
ons with SM predictions. To further investigate these effects\, this thesi
s studies the rarer b->dll transitions\, whose branching fractions are app
roximately 0.04 rarer than those of b->sll decays\, thereby increasing the
ir sensitivity to higher NP scales. The focus is on the baryonic decay mod
es Lb->p Pi mumu and Xib->p K mumu. Baryonic transitions provide informati
on complementary to mesonic decays\, as their spin structure offers sensit
ivity to NP effects inaccessible in meson systems. Using the full LHCb Run
1 and Run 2 datasets\, an updated measurement of the Lb->ppimumu branchin
g fraction is performed\, together with the first measurement of its diffe
rential branching fraction. A feasibility study of the observation of the
Xib decay is also presented. This mode has not yet been observed due to bo
th the suppression of the underlying electroweak penguin transition and th
e expected production fraction of Xib-> p K mumu baryons\, which is approx
imately an order of magnitude smaller than that of Lb . The yield ratio R
between the Lb->p K Jpsi and Xib->p K Jpsi channels is estimated and used
to predict the expected Xib->p K mumu signal yield in the full Run 1 and R
un 2 dataset. The predicted yield is found to be insufficient for a statis
tically significant observation. LHCb is expected to operate until at leas
t 2041 and will undergo a major upgrade during Run 5 as part of the High-L
uminosity LHC programme. The inner region of the current SciFi tracking de
tector will be replaced by a pixel detector\, while the outer region (refe
rred to as the Mighty-Scifi) will retain the scintillating fibre technolog
 y. This thesis also describes the recommissioning of a quality-assurance t
est bench for measuring the light yield of Mighty-SciFi fibre mats during
production. The system is now fully operational and ready for the start of
fibre mat production\, scheduled after the summer of 2026.\n \nMembres d
