 IDs\, HSC) and future (LSST\, Euclid\, WFIRST) generation of large scale d
 eep surveys\, we will have to deal with an increasing number of crowded fi
 elds in which a high number of objects are blended. This poses a challenge
  both in terms of photometry (recovering the flux of individual objects) a
 s well as for shape measurements (one of the main science goals) and galax
 y morphology.\n\nWe organize this 1-day workshop to gather astronomers int
 erested in exploring the use of deep learning methods to tackle image debl
 ending. The scope is to discuss the creation of a data/science challenge o
 n the topic to foster the emergence of new algorithms. We will need to def
 ine a score (i.e. what does "deblending" means computationally) and a stra
 tegy to gather labeled datasets or produce them.\n\nIn the morning we wi
 ll start by describing the RAMP platform (www.ramp.studio) developed at th
 e Paris-Saclay center for Data Science to create open source challenges on
  various scientific topics.\n\nJust before and after lunch\, the participa
 nts will be able to give presentations on their work on this topic (or clo
 sely related). The talks should aim at preparing the afternoon discussion 
 by focusing on one or both topics (metric & dataset).\n\nThen we will brai
 nstorm on the two main topics related to the challenge :\n\n\n    the defi
 nition of one of several metrics / scores\n    the selection of open and l
 abeled data\n\n\nThe event will be hosted at the François Arago Center (F
 ACe).\n\nThere will be a possibility to join remotely the workshop.\n\nhtt
