Testing the CKM mechanism at the B-factories: current status and outlook

In this talk I will summarize our knowledge of the CKM parameters and constraints on New Physics after several years of successful data taking at the B-factories. I'll discuss a few specific examples that highlight the prospects for improvements in the forthcoming years.
