The Paradigm of Large Extra Dimensions : Basic Ideas

This lecture presents a perspective of modern ideas regarding large extra dimensions which, possibly, exist in our world. I base my presentation on general physics, quantum mechanics, basics of field theory and some commonly known facts from high-energy physics, leaving aside technicalities. The lecture is designed to be understandable to non-experts.
