For more than a decade now, multi-messenger astrophysics provide new insights and understanding of the properties and processes of the most energetic events in the Universe. It leverages the potential of the combined analysis of multiple and complementary information sources: electromagnetic waves (or photons) from radio waves to gamma-rays, neutrinos and gravitational waves.
In this talk, I am going to focus on two of these multimessengers: neutrinos and gamma-rays.
I will review the recent progress in multi-messenger astronomy using IceCube neutrino data with a focus on the cores of AGNs, and discuss how CTA will provide complementary information on the sources of interest.
