Summary (defence in English):
The discussion focuses on heavy flavour production in small systems. Under the assumption that nature is as simple as it can be, the scope, or maybe dream, is that of a unified physics picture which can reconcile our understanding of particle production in all collision systems, from electron, to proton and to heavy-ion collisions. The context of such studies is summarised. Selected key experimental results are discussed. This does not intend to be an exhaustive review, but I hope to present the ingredients and references to trigger and guide your curiosity.
