This course is intended for students, engineers, or researchers wishing to learn about the use of the cloud for research. We will review a cloud-type architecture, and the advantages over other computing platforms. We will then see how to access the VirtualData cloud, hosted at the University Paris-Saclay, and how to use the resources efficiently through various scenarios (tests, computation, web application).
This course will run on April 14 (9am) at IJCLab building 200, room 101.
Training exercises can be found on GitHub. It is recommended to bring your laptop with Anaconda installed to fully benefit from the lecture, and network access is provided by Eduroam in the room.
We will provide access to Virtual machines for the lecture. But if you want to try yourself, you can create an account:
While it is now possible for all lab members to register via Indico, note that this course was initially proposed as a doctoral school training and PhD students registering via ADUM will accordingly get priority for the initial run.
