📍 Location
IJCLab is located on the campus of Université Paris-Saclay in Orsay, about 25 kilometers southwest of Paris. The easiest way to reach the campus is via the RER B train line to the Orsay-Ville station.
Travel times:
- From Châtelet (central Paris): approx. 35 minutes
- From Charles de Gaulle Airport: approx. 1 hour
Ticket prices:
- From central Paris: €2.50
- From airports: €13.00
✈️ From the Airports
Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
The RER B station is located at Roissypole under Terminal 2, and is accessible via the CDGVAL light rail from other terminals. Follow signs marked "Paris by train" or look for the large blue RER B symbol.
Take the RER B train heading towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse or Orsay-Ville (avoid trains to Robinson). Get off at Orsay-Ville.
Orly Airport (ORY)
Take the Orlyval (automated shuttle, €13 including the RER B leg to Orsay) to Antony station. From there, transfer to the RER B line heading to Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse or Orsay-Ville (again, not Robinson). Exit at Orsay-Ville.
🚆 From Train Stations in Paris
Gare du Nord has a direct connection to the RER B line to Orsay. Other train stations (e.g. Gare de Lyon, Gare Montparnasse, Gare de l'Est) are one short métro ride away from an RER B station. A single "train" ticket covers both métro and RER segments.
🚶 Once in Orsay
From the RER B Orsay-Ville station:
- Exit the station at the front of the train via Exit 3: "Rue de la chaufferie".
- Walk downhill to the first intersection.
- Building 100 will be directly on your left, across the intersection.
The workshop takes place in the Salle des Conseils, located on the ground floor of IJCLab Building 100. Once you enter the buidling, walk down the corridor to your left until its end. The Salle des Conseils is in front of you in the atrium.
