Simone Devoto, "Electroweak precision predictions in the Standard Model"
The unprecedented experimental precision expected at the High-Luminosity LHC makes a systematic treatment of electroweak (EW) corrections essential for stringent tests of the Standard Model. At future lepton colliders, such as the FCC-ee, EW effects will dominate the theoretical uncertainty, and computing them at NNLO accuracy will be a prerequisite for a precision physics programme.
In this talk, I will review the main challenges in calculating higher-order EW corrections, including multi-scale loop integrals, a consistent description of gamma5, and the treatment of massive unstable gauge bosons. I will then present recent methodological advances that address these obstacles and illustrate their phenomenological impact with selected results for Drell-Yan production.
