Precision prediction for Higgs production at the LHC: breaking the N3LO barrier

I will review the status of the computation of the inclusive Higgs cross section in gluon-fusion at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N3LO) in perturbative QCD. I will focus on the recent computation of the cross section at threshold, and will present new results for first corrections beyond the threshold approximation. Finally, I will confront these results to various approximate N3LO cross sections that have been put forward in the recent past.
