Lors de ce cours introductif, les concepts du Machine Learning utilisant les réseaux de neurones seront présentés. L’utilisation de ces outils sera illustrée sur l’application de la classification d’évènements dans des détecteurs. Le cours sera accessible aux non-experts voulant connaître un peu plus ces techniques. Les notions suivantes seront abordées :
- Neuron, perceptron et back-propagation
- Réseaux de convolution
- Auto-encoders
Selon la demande, une partie initiation à PyTorch pourra être organisée l’après-midi.

Summary:
Basic aspect of machine learning based on neural network will be presented with application to event classification in detectors. The lecture is dedicated to non-expert who wants to learn more on these techniques. This introductory lecture will cover the following notions for non-expert:
- Neuron, perceptron and back-propagation
- Convolutional networks
- Auto-encoders
If sufficient people are interested, a hands-on session will be organized with Pytorch in the afternoon.
