Description

The DESIR facility is presently under construction at GANIL, Caen. It is the future low-energy facility of GANIL,
which will receive beams from the existing SPIRAL1 production site, from the presently commissioned S3-LEB facility, and
possibly in the future from a fission source discussed as an extension of SPIRAL2.
The talk will give an overview of the DESIR projet starting from the production of radioactive nuclei, their transport
to the DESIR building presently constructed, their purification to provide ultra-pure samples for users, and their use
in different experiments in the contexte of the three pillars of DESIR: BESTIOL, LUMIERE and DETRAP.
The talk will end with a presentation of the schedule of DESIR and the most important milestones to come.
