DeMythif.AI Winter School 2027
Monday 1 to Friday 5 March 2027 · Institut Pascal, Université Paris-Saclay, Orsay (France)
How much can we trust the answer a model gives us, and what does that answer cost to produce? The DeMythif.AI Winter School brings together 50 to 60 early-career researchers for a residential week of lectures, poster sessions and career discussions on these questions, taught by researchers from universities, national research institutes and industry.
Four courses, four topics
Each topic is taught as a full course of four 90-minute sessions:
| Uncertainty modelling | Simulation-based inference |
| Bayesian networks | Machine learning and HPC resource management |
Around the courses, the week is built for exchange: poster sessions where participants present their research, career-oriented round tables and workshops, and time to meet the speakers and one another. See the scientific programme (under construction).
Who can apply?
The school is primarily aimed at PhD students, ideally in their first or second year, both from France and abroad. You do not need to work on core AI topics to apply: PhD students from any discipline who use AI methods in their research, or plan to, are very welcome. A limited number of places is also open to postdoctoral researchers and to engineers and researchers from industry. How to apply
