Jean-Eric showed pictures of the completed PAON-4. A few hours of data from bright sources has been recorded and analysis is under way.  Big step forward!

Xuelei presented Sun Shijie's report on the cylinder construction.  Everyone was impressed!  Installation of the most of the feeds will wait for warmer weather but a team from NAOC will begin first tests with a single feed in January.  Dish array installation will occur in spring as well.  Fiber conection to internet will be ready soon. Qizhi Huang is on site (or will be on site).

Xuelei mentioned again the ESA/NAOC joint mission 'DSL:  Discovery of the Universe at Long wavelengths'.  There's a meeting at Dwingeloo in early Feb 2015:   http://www.astron.nl/dsl2015/     Xuelei emailed us with more details.

Peter mentioned an article about using a hexacopter for mapping beam patterns of radio antennas:    Virone et al. IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters Vol. 13, 2014 is attached above.   This looks like a promising way to map the Tianlai cylinders.  Greg Tucker (Brown University) is applying for internal funds from Brown to put together such a system.
