Description
Generating low divergence beams is one of the major challenges the laser-plasma ion acceleration community faces since the seminal TNSA works from two decades ago. We have recently generated at the Salle Noire facility in LOA proton beams with unprecedented low divergence (3 degrees FWHM, up to 100 pC and 0.48 MeV), directly from a simple rotating glass target, at kHz repetition rate. I will present our experimental results together with the supporting numerical and theoretical analysis.
