You can find a large choice of hotels with a wide range of prices on various official websites for visitors (see some of the choices below). We recommend to choose a hotel near a station along the B line RER train (RER-B) between Paris and 'Saint Rémy Lès Chevreuse' .
Hotels in the Orsay area:
- Orsay is convenient because it is very close to the lab, but be aware that it is a small town with very few places to eat
- Hotel d'Orsay - This is the closest hotel, located at the RER B station 'Le Guichet', and it is 20 min walk from the workshop location. You may take RER B to the next stop 'Orsay Ville' and then walk to the workshop location (15 min). Ten rooms have been reserved for the workshop (99€+tax) : you must contact the hotel to make your reservation and indicate the code PHASE26.
- Hôtel Résidhome, Bures sur Yvette - There are two options to go there, one on foot by getting off at the RER B station ’Bures sur Yvette’. It takes less than 20 minutes to reach there on foot by going through the campus. The other option is to get off earlier at the RER B train station ’Le Guichet’. From there you can either take a shuttle bus or walk (27 min). Rooms/studios are for up to four people. It is less 15 min walk from the workshop location.
7-8 studios have been pre booked for the workshop. You will have to contact the Residhome hotel to make you reservation and indicate the code PHASE26.
112,53 euros is the price for a single studio (means 1 pers.including tax and breakfast)
131,06 euros is the price for a twin studio (means 2 pers.with 2 single beds including tax and breakfast)
99,53 euros is the price for a single studio (means 1 pers.including tax but without breakfast).
- B&B hôtel Saclay, Plateau du Moulon, Saclay - Located at 5 min by bus to the RER B station ’Le Guichet’, then follow the instructions above. This option works best if you have a car (10 min).
In Paris downtown:
- within Paris, via direct RER-B to Orsay-ville station (30 min ride), the area around 'Denfert-Rochereau' is convenient : Lampika hotel, Mistral hotel or Hotel du midi Montparnasse
- within Paris, via direct RER-B to Orsay-ville station (45 min ride), the area of 'Saint Michel Notre-Dame' is in the heart of beautiful Paris, close to ile de la cité (island of the city) : hotel Europe Saint Severin or hotel Clos Notre Dame
