How to reach IJCLab
By public transport from Paris to Orsay
IJCLab is located on the Université d’Orsay Paris-Sud Campus, 25 kilometers south-west of Paris. The easiest way to reach the Orsay campus is by taking the RER B line to the Orsay-Ville station (direction St-Rémy-les-Chevreuses)
- 35 minutes and direct from Châtelet, 2.55 € for a single ticket
- 45 mins and direct from Gare du Nord/Gare de l'Est, 2.55 € for a single ticket
- 1 hour from CDG airport (Terminal 1 or 3), 45 mins from Orly airport, 14€ for a single ticket
How to buy a ticket
To get a ticket, you can buy it on your cell phone on the app IDF Mobilités. Or you can purchase a navigo Easy card (2 €) at any train station : we do not recommend this as national train stations/airports can be crowded with travelers buying a card. If you plan on using the metro/bus system extensively in Ile de France, a Navigo week pass (zone 1 to 5) can be interesting as it includes Orsay, airports, and Paris unlimited for 32.4€ (but only from Monday to Sunday). By road from Paris
If you leave Paris from « Porte d’Italie » or « Porte d’Orléans », take the A6 autoroute in the direction of Lyon ; on the autoroute, after 10 km, follow in the direction of « Bordeaux » ; after another 10km, take the Orsay exit and follow panels to reach Orsay and « Faculté d’Orsay ». After this, look up in a local map to find IJCLab.
If you leave Paris from « Pont de Sèvres », take the N118 in the direction of « Bordeaux », after 30 km, exit at Orsay. Then, follow « Faculté d’Orsay » or find the RER-B train station « Orsay-Ville ». After this, look up in a local map to find IJCLab.
