Dear participant,
We are pleased to welcome you to the ISAPP School at Paris-Saclay!
We kindly ask you to read carefully all the following informations.
Covid-related rules
Current rules in France make it possible to organize the school in-person, and while the Paris region was hit by a very high rate of covid cases in January, the epidemy is decreasing fast here since about two weeks. We therefore confirm that the school will be held fully in-person (except if some unexpected event occurs).
This implies that physical distancing measures must be respected by all participants, according to the local rules.
--> To attend the School we *require* that all participants have the French or European "pass vaccinal". We will ask for it at your arrival at Institut Pascal and it is also needed in many places such as restaurants etc.
Please read very carefully the instructions here:
https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/actualites/A15313?lang=en
In summary, if you are from the European Union, the QR code of the EU Digital Covid certificate is ok. For those of you not originating from the EU, you must be vaccinated with a vaccine accepted by the european authority, and be up-to-date with your vaccine doses, check carefully! You will probably have to get the pass at a local pharmacy (needs passport, original vaccination certificate, and a ~30 euros fee). Please, contact us in case of doubt.
If the school were eventually to be cancelled, we will obviously reimburse your registration fee. If you were to get covid during the school, we will help you with the logistics but cannot financially help you for, eg, additional nights in a hotel.
Arrival / departure
The first lecture will take place on Monday 28 March at 14:00. Lunch will be available at the Institut Pascal before. If it is possible for you, you may therefore travel on Monday morning and join directly the Institut Pascal for lunch at noon (expect a ~2 hr transportation time from Charles-de-Gaulle airport to the Institute).
The lectures will end on Friday 08 April at noon.
** The hotel rooms are booked starting Monday evening, until Friday morning next week. **
If you need to arrive earlier (on Sunday afternoon), or leave later (on Saturday morning) please contact our secretary to arrange for the hotel reservation accordingly.
Student talk
We foresee to have time in the school for "student talks": every student is invited to present his/her research topic to the audience in ~ 5 min.
Please, prepare your presentation accordingly (~ 3 slides, we do not plan to post your slides on the web).
Other informations
Please read other practical informations on the school's website:
https://indico.ijclab.in2p3.fr/event/7633/page/125-practical-information
We will regularly post news, by email and on this website, in particular concerning the covid situation.
Payment
If you didn't do it yet, please proceed in due time to the payment of the registration fee, following the instructions provided by our school secretary Sabrina Soccard (sabrina.soccard@universite-paris-saclay.fr)
If you eventually wish to cancel your registration, please tell her immediately, as there is a waiting list of candidate students for whom we could not confirm their participation!
