Joining Institut Pascal (IPa), from Paris
The IPa is located on the Paris-Saclay campus, approximately 25 km south-west of Paris. It can be reached in approximately 50 minutes from the Châtelet-Les Halles station in the center of Paris, with the suburb train RER B + local bus line. Expect 2 hours from Charles-de-Gaulle airport.
We recommend to use the train line RER B towards "Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuses" down to "Orsay-Ville", then bus line 7 towards "Plateau de Moulon - Corbeville" up to "De Broglie". IPa is one min away from the bus stop.
Last-min update: The "De Broglie" station seems to be off => you should use the bus stop "Bois des Rames", 5mn by foot to IPa.

Joining Residhome (from Paris)
A 1-km walk from the RER B "Bures-sur-Yvette" train station (40 minutes from downtown Paris).
Shown on the map below are the minimarket and bakery, and the way towards CROUS (university's student restaurant)
Joining IPa from Residhome
To join IPa from Residhome, there is a 1.2km walk climbing a trail in the forest. We recommend appropriate shoes to walk this trail, especially if the weather is wet.
If you do not wish to use this trail, public transportations may be used : join Orsay-Ville (one RER stop) then bus line number 7. This will take longer than the forest trail.

From Résidhome, cross the "rue de la Guyonnerie" and take a path towards the forest. After ~50-100m you have a choice: there are two main possible ways, shown in brown and black respectively, with places where you have to climb highlighted. Beware, both these places are currently in work (they're building some stairs...) so you have to find your way around those works.
Brown way: after climbing, continue on the right on a nice, flat path with some view on the valley. Black way : stay in the valley along a relatively flat path inside the forest, and climb later on once you crossed the works.

Résidhome rooms are equipped with small kitchenettes. You may buy your own food at a minimarket located downtown Bures (see map).

The university restaurant "CROUS - Les cèdres" is open in the evening (everybody may access but low prices guaranteed for French students only).
