Description

The Belle II detector, located at the SuperKEKB accelerator, is designed for direct and indirect searches of New Physics beyond the Standard Model via precision measurements of $e^+e^-$ collisions. Belle II has already recorded half of the data collected by its predecessor, aiming at collecting $50\, \text{ab}^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity at the end of operations,
and reached a world-record instantaneous luminosity of $4.7 \cdot 10^{34} \text{cm}^{−2}\text{s}^{−1}$ in June 2022. Belle II expects to explore flavor physics with $B$ mesons with unprecedented precision, and has already produced multiple world-leading results in this area. In this contribution we present the latest results and future prospects in the study of rare and beyond the Standard Model decays at Belle II.
