Description

Flavour physics played an important role for the establishment of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. Charge-Parity (CP) violations or suppressions of the Flavour Changing Neutral Current (FCNC) are indeed naturally explained by the SM. In modern particle physics experiments with much higher luminosities, flavour physics aims at the discovery of signals from physics beyond the SM, in particular excessive FCNCs or CP violations. We will review flavour physics beyond the SM from a theoretical point of view. We will especially focus on the questions: “what signals are we expecting?” or “ is there any connection between quark and lepton sectors?”.
